Emerald Challengers

The Emerald Challengers are a non-profit baseball organization located in Eugene, OR. We are affiliated with American Legion Baseball. Our home games are played at Swede Johnson Stadium, a state of the art facility built completely by volunteers. The Overhead Door Emerald Challengers is made up of boys ages 15-19 from these local high school baseball teams Churchill High School, Marist High School, North Eugene High School, Sheldon High School, Willamette High School, Crow High School, Elmira High School, Junction City High School and Monroe High School. We roster the best 18 boys from these teams with 2 swing players.

Mission Statement

To provide the best opportunity possible for the young men who play within the Overhead Door Emerald Challengers organization to enhance not only their baseball skills but also their life skills with the ultimate goal of providing the best possible platform for these young athletes to further their baseball careers beyond High School and into college or the professional ranks.

Our Values

3) Represent our community, our organization and ourselves to the best of our ability.
4) Give back to the community and provide a resource for generations to come.
5) Provide an opportunity for the young athletes in our organization to continue their baseball careers beyond High School and into the College or the Professional ranks.


The Emerald Challengers organization would like to thank all our supporters for their continued trust in our organization which allows us to continue our American Legion Baseball tradition which spans the past 40+ years.
